KATHERINE HENSLEY LANCASTER TALLAHASSEE, FL Katherine Hensley Lancaster, 93, passed away November 5, 2013 in Tallahassee, Florida. She was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina. She was happily married sixty-six years to Glenn Lancaster, Sr. who passed away in 2006. One of her greatest joys in her life was teaching. She had a wonderful career beginning at Wallace-Rose Hill High School in Wallace, North Carolina and then at Western Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. She taught for twenty-five years. Her dedication to her students and to the study of English literature was exceptional. She was inspiration to all those around her. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Ruth Lancaster of Chicago, Illinois, her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Chip Kiser of Tallahassee, Florida, her four grandchildren Susannah Williams and Elizabeth Lancaster, both of Chicago, Illinois, Katy Caughran of Birmingham, Alabama, and Matt Kiser of Cincinnati, Ohio and two great grandchildren, Asha and Zion Williams of Chicago, Illinois. She is also survived by two sisters, Hazel Sane of Mt. Airy, Maryland and Mary Buchert of South Haven, Michigan, and one brother, Albert Hensley of Munster, Indiana.
