GREENSBORO LISA C. MORAN, BELOVED WIFE, MOTHER, daughter, sister and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. Despite battling pancreatic cancer since March, Lisa remained a cheerful, inspirational presence to her family and friends up to the end, showing the warmth and humor that characterized her life. Lisa was born on September 10, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to Joseph A. and the late Lucile Ramos. After attending Western Guilford High School, she graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1982. She married her husband, Daniel L. Moran on September 5, 1982.She and Dan raised three children with unconditional love, kindness and humor. Lisa was the Associate/Youth Pastor at Centre Friends in Greensboro. She was active in both her church and North Carolina Yearly Meeting/FUM for many years and shared countless special times with her loving church family.She is survived by her husband, Dan; her daughter, Danielle S. Moran; her sons, Alexander J. Moran and Elijah C. Moran, all of Greensboro; brother, Skip Ramos of Hideaway, TX; sisters, Teresa Costa of Dallas, TX and Rita Newman of Hideaway, TX; nieces, Rhonda Hare of Plano, TX and Nicole Probst of Denton, TX; nephews, Sam Ramos of Fountain, FL and Stacey Ramos of Dallas, TX; seven great-nieces and six great-nephews.She touched many lives, radiated compassion, never met a stranger, and had a joy for life and for helping others. She had a tremendous optimism and love for humanity and was one of the most empathetic people you could meet.A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at High Point Friends Meeting. Family members will remain in the church after the service for visitation. There will be a private interment at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either Quaker Lake Camp or High Point CROP Walk. Checks can be made out to "Deep River Friends" and mailed to Deep River Friends, 5300 West Wendover Avenue, High Point, NC 27265. Please indicate on Memo line either "Quaker Lake" or "CROP Walk."
